We have already made some recommendations for the French side. Now let’s take a look at the Dutch side and its wonderful restaurants. This week we recommend to you the wonderful restaurant Sale & Pepe Marina.
Located in the heart of Simpson Bay, you can discover the Italian Sicilian restaurant Sale & Pepe Marina. Seated directly next to mega yachts and high-class sailing boats, you can enjoy wonderful dishes prepared by Chef and Owner Davide Zagami.
Together with his wife Scarlet, Davide runs this authentic Sicilian restaurant which offers tables outside overlooking the Marina of Simpson Bay or inside where you will be treated to a chic modern dining room with air-conditioning.
The service team of Sale & Pepe Marina is very attentive and tries to cater to your every whim so you can enjoy your evening-out to the fullest!
About the kitchen
Thanks to Sicilian Chef and Owner Davide, Sale & Pepe Marina offers authentic Italian and Sicilian dishes which make you feel as if you are sitting in a high-rated restaurant in the center of Sicily. However, Chef Davide’s delicious dishes are also influenced by his new home in the Caribbean. At Sale & Pepe Marina, you can enjoy fresh sea food specialties paired with local ingredients.
As a result, the menu is a combination of Italian cuisine and Caribbean influence which makes this restaurant so special. Fresh salads, antipasti, Italian pasta, creamy risotto, grilled Caribbean fish or tender meat… Everyone will find what they are looking for on the diverse menu. Moreover, Sale & Pepe offers many vegetarian dishes and even gluten free pasta!
It is all about the taste and presentation
On our latest visit to this authentic Italian restaurant, we genuinely enjoyed the beef carpaccio as a starter. The main courses were exquisite!
We loved the lobster ravioli as well as the fresh seafood pasta in a creamy red sauce. But we can not only recommend the pasta dishes…
The Red Snapper Filet and the Scaloppine with marsala mushroom sauce were cooked on point! All the restaurant’s main courses either come with fresh vegetables or side-pasta.
To finish our evening, we enjoyed creamy Pannacotta as well as rich and flavorful Tiramisu. It was delicious!
Overall, Sale & Pepe Marina offers fresh authentic Italian Sicilian food paired with local Caribbean influence. We can confirm that this restaurant deserves the price of “Best Italian Restaurant” that it got from the Harold. You will not regret your visit!
