Our choice for this week’s “Restaurant of the Week” is Ocean82. Located directly in St. Martin’s gastronomic center, Grand Case, you can have lunch or dinner while overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The restaurant provides air-conditioned seating in a simplistic but chic interior. The team around Chef Franck Vuillemin and partner Romain will try and cater to your every whim. The staff offers professional and high-quality service that will make you feel special! Their passion has always been to share a delightful culinary moment with their guests, whether they are with their family or friends, on vacation or residents of the island. Moreover, the restaurant is also available for private events like weddings, anniversaries, and more.
About the kitchen
The restaurant’s flavors are influenced by French cuisine as well as the sea. Chef Franck and his kitchen team create extraordinary seafood dishes as well as meat or vegetarian options. One of the restaurant’s highlights is its fresh lobster. You can choose your own lobster straight from the tank and have it prepared directly in which ever way you like. Additionally, their wine cellar is outstanding. They have a portfolio of the finest wines that pair perfectly with their amazing dishes. Romain and his attentive service team are making sure that you can enjoy the delicious cuisine while the waves of the Caribbean sea gently crash on the beach below.
Ocean82 all about the taste and presentation
On our latest visit, we enjoyed delicious fresh oysters as well as the homemade lobster and mushroom ravioli served in a chicken broth with truffle oil as a starter. The main course left us speechless! The Caribbean fish pot had a rich creamy sauce and a wonderful collection of different seafood. The beef tenderloin “à la plancha” was cooked on point and the lobster fettuccini tasted incredible. To finish things off, we tried the lemon mousse dessert which arrived in the shape of an actual lemon.
We believe that no matter which dish you try at Oceans82, you will not be disappointed! All in all, Ocean82 offers delicious gourmet dishes in a stunning setting overlooking the Caribbean Sea. If you are looking for a special night out, you should definitely consider visiting Ocean82!

The restaurant is open from Monday to Friday from 3:30pm to 10:30pm and Saturday & Sunday from 11:30am to 10:30pm. It is located at 82 BOULEVARD DE GRAND CASE, 97150 SAINT MARTIN FWI.
